Job Overview
As the Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, collaborating closely with our Head of Manufacturing and Quality. You will lead the management and coordination of our advanced production operations within a new, highly automated facility, ensuring excellence and efficiency throughout the process. We seek a seasoned expert with over a decade of experience in food manufacturing, particularly in consumer packaged goods. Your knowledge of SQF/BRC, FDA, and GMP compliance will be crucial as you formulate and execute processes and policies that establish new benchmarks in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Provide guidance and training to achieve company goals.
- Oversee all facets of food production operations to guarantee efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet organizational targets and customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to SQF/BRC, FDA, and GMP standards.
- Promote safety and ensure that all unsafe actions and conditions are resolved promptly.
Floor Management:
- Establish SOPs: Create and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent quality and accountability.
- Performance Measurement: Monitor and evaluate production metrics to surpass targets.
- Team Development: Mentor team leaders, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster accountability.
- Right People, Right Roles: Optimize staffing by aligning skills with roles for maximum productivity.
- KPI Improvement: Continuously drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and meet key performance indicators.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and inspire team members.
- Cultivate a positive and productive work environment by prioritizing people and encouraging collaboration.
- Provide leadership and direction, ensuring clear communication of objectives and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred, but not mandatory (based on experience).
- Over 10 years of experience in food manufacturing, particularly in consumer packaged goods.
- Experience with frozen meat products is advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong background in SQF/BRC, FDA, and GMP compliance.
- Proven experience in developing processes and policies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and utilize data for decision-making.
- Proficient in MS Office or Google Suite (Google preferred, training available).
- Lean Manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma - desirable, but not required.
