We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Specialist to join our team at Tri-R Mechanical Services, Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems. This includes performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and ensuring all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.

This role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of refrigeration principles, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and components, including racks, compressors, and condensers.
  • Routine Inspections and Diagnostics: Perform regular inspections to identify potential issues and diagnose problems with refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with refrigeration systems, following safety protocols and local codes.
  • Refrigerant Management: Recharge and adjust refrigerant levels in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and maintain clear communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal refrigeration training program or equivalent work experience; valid HVAC/R certification (EPA Section 608).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration service and repair.
  • Skillset: Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques; ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed; valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly Wage: Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience, estimated at $45-$60 per hour.
