Key Responsibilities:

As a Procurement Buyer, you will be a key member of the Finance team at the client. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and processing purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Evaluating supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promoting established organizational policies and procedures for vendor engagement.
  • Confirming that modifications and changes to existing orders are properly documented and processed.
  • Developing and promoting strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Assisting with obtaining and analyzing proposals or quotations for consumables, equipment, and services for stakeholders.
  • Partnering with internal customers to expedite purchase requisitions and purchase orders when required.
  • Escalating any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies, or contract matters for internal review and remediation.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with invoice resolution matters and purchase order creation.
  • Evaluating and testing system enhancements for new or existing company platforms while partnering in the implementation, roll-out, and training to ensure success.
  • Generating reports to monitor purchasing activity by category, goods receipts, and vendor spend.
  • Working with the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy assigned orders and reporting any back-ordered or missing products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, major in Finance or a related subject.
  • 3+ years' experience within the field and a similar position is required. Experience with Laboratory Consumables, Capital Equipment, IT, and Travel Categories preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced/changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to collaborate and work together as part of a team.
  • The ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues.
