Paraprofessional Support Staff

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. This role will provide support to students and teachers in a classroom setting, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
About the RoleThis position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about working with students of varied abilities and strengths. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers to create engaging lesson plans, assist with instructional activities, and provide individualized support to students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in creating educational materials and displays
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Support student social and independent skills development
- Assist with student care and supervision
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student success
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution (or the ParaPro Exam)
- A valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit-Educational Aide
- Ability to understand and work with cognitively delayed and learning disabled students
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
The estimated salary range for this position is $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
