Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare shipping documentation for various carriers, ensuring accurate representation of contents, value, and origin.
  • Package orders effectively to minimize damage during transit.
  • Receive and organize daily shipments efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts of raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming purchase orders.
  • Update shipping logs and customs documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy for auditing.
  • Monitor supply levels and request necessary materials for the department.
  • Process intercompany shipping requests and manage shipments to external vendors.
  • Handle returns from vendors, utilizing ERP systems to determine the next steps for products.
  • Track shipments throughout the transportation process, proactively addressing any delays.
  • Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to align shipping schedules with customer demands.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred experience of 1+ year in a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for a significant portion of the workday.
  • Ability to perform various physical activities including standing, climbing, and bending.
