Key Responsibilities- Prepare shipping documentation for various carriers, ensuring accurate representation of contents, value, and origin.
- Package orders effectively to minimize damage during transit.
- Receive and organize daily shipments efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts of raw materials.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming purchase orders.
- Update shipping logs and customs documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy for auditing.
- Monitor supply levels and request necessary materials for the department.
- Process intercompany shipping requests and manage shipments to external vendors.
- Handle returns from vendors, utilizing ERP systems to determine the next steps for products.
- Track shipments throughout the transportation process, proactively addressing any delays.
- Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to align shipping schedules with customer demands.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred experience of 1+ year in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for a significant portion of the workday.
- Ability to perform various physical activities including standing, climbing, and bending.
