Job Title: Senior Python Developer with AWS Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with expertise in AWS to join our team at eTek IT Services, Inc. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our software applications and databases using Python and AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Development: Develop and maintain Python-based applications and tools, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • AWS Infrastructure: Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure to support our software applications and databases.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Python applications with other systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Data Processing: Optimize and scale data processing pipelines using Python and AWS services, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address technical issues, troubleshooting as necessary to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Ensure best practices and standards are followed in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform software testing and quality assurance to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
  • Database Management: Support and maintain databases and data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our software applications and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Python developer, with a proven track record of working with AWS services.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, proficiency in database management and SQL, experience with software development methodologies and best practices, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, experience with version control systems such as Git, knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques, familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and relevant certifications in Python and AWS (a plus).
