Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cylinder Technician to join our team at our gas cylinder production/distribution facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in the safe and efficient handling of gas cylinders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities:- Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the manufacturing, storage, loading, unloading, and transportation of hazardous materials. This includes maintaining strict adherence to CGMP, HazMat, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure the proper segregation and storage of both empty/full and industrial/medical cylinders, prioritizing safety and organization.
- Safely move compressed gas or liquid cylinders, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Load and unload cylinders and other materials, including inter-branch cylinder transfers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Report any issues or concerns to the facility manager promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, following all relevant training and guidelines.
- Perform manual labor tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficiency in reading and writing English
- Ability to safely move compressed gas and liquid cylinders
- Physical capability to lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver cylinders weighing over 100 pounds (utilizing rolling techniques, carts, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong attention to detail
- Prior forklift experience is preferred
