Position Overview

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for executing tasks related to electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies during the final assembly of equipment. This role involves maintaining, testing, and repairing industrial machinery, requiring a solid electrical aptitude for the production of precise components and assemblies. The position reports to the Team Leader and is situated within our assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, or blueprints to ascertain material requirements and assembly instructions;
  • Install piping, fixtures, wiring, and electrical components to create assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, rivet guns, or welding equipment;
  • Align and position components for assembly;
  • Repair or replace damaged parts or assemblies;
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and components;
  • Test completed products to verify functionality and compliance with specifications;
  • Layout and manufacture precision parts involved in assemblies and sub-assemblies;
  • Communicate progress and issues to the team leader professionally;
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular cleaning practices;
  • Contribute positively as a team member with a strong work ethic;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred;
  • Typically requires three (3) to ten (10) years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in electrical work;
  • Moderate knowledge of general manufacturing with strong mechanical/electrical aptitude;
  • Basic mathematical skills;
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established guidelines;
  • Works under moderate supervision;
  • Demonstrates adaptability in response to change;
  • Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Collaborates with management to analyze assembly efficiency;
  • Possesses a mission-focused attitude with a sense of urgency;
  • Exhibits a positive demeanor and fosters a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Proficient in using PCs.
