Microbial Ecology Specialist

We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to our team's research efforts on microbial ecology and biogeochemistry in the Gulf of Mexico and other locations. As a key member of the Joye Group, you will work closely with Dr. Joye and other team members to design and implement experiments, collect and analyze data, and disseminate results through publications and presentations.
Responsibilities:- Design and execute experiments to investigate microbial processes and their impact on ecosystem function.
- Analyze and interpret data from field collections, including molecular biological and geochemical measurements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new methods and technologies for studying microbial ecology.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biological Oceanography, Ecology, or Marine Sciences.
- Strong background in molecular biology, bioinformatics, and microbial ecology.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing.
The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and performance. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
