Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts treatment simulations as per physician directives.
  • Delivers the prescribed radiation therapy with precision.
  • Assists in Brachytherapy procedures.
  • Prepares treatment machines and simulators, ensuring all safety protocols are followed; reports any operational anomalies to the physicist.
  • Checks laser positioning for accurate alignment.
  • Verifies dosage through barometric and thermometric evaluations; communicates any inconsistencies to the physicist.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; complies with all organizational policies and standards, including effective time and supply management.
  • Encourages personal and professional development by fulfilling continuing education requirements and supporting departmental objectives; acts as a mentor and resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to compassionate care by providing personalized experiences for all community members. Upholds the organization's service standards by ensuring safe, caring, and efficient interactions with patients and team members.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program – Mandatory.
  • Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technologists (ARRT-T) - Mandatory.
  • Licensed by the Texas Department of Health (TMB).
  • Capability to assist and maneuver patients in collaboration with others to fulfill job responsibilities.

Position Details:

  • Direct hire, full-time opportunity.
  • Work Schedule: Day shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM.
  • Compensation starting at $45 per hour (based on experience) plus benefits.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and a 401k plan.
