CoolSys is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality work performance.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and legible records of work history, including job tickets and work orders.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: EPA certification required. Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required. Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
  • Skills: Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, as well as previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes is very helpful.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift to 60 lbs. with no assistance and also be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.
