**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a Microscopy Specialist/Technician to support our expansion microscopy efforts focusing on light sheet microscopy imaging of expanded brain tissue. This full-time, in-person position is based in the Bay Area.

**Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-end light sheet microscopes to acquire high-resolution 3D images of biological samples.
  • Analyze and process microscopy data ensuring high-quality results for downstream analysis.
  • Troubleshoot imaging issues and perform routine maintenance on microscopy equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with the research team to refine imaging protocols.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and analyses thoroughly.

**Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience performing microscopy ideally including hands-on experience collecting and analyzing light sheet microscopy data.
  • Strong understanding of image processing and analysis software (e.g., Fiji, Imaris).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced research environment.
