Project Architect II

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect II to join our team in Simsbury, CT.

• Perform technical and feasibility studies, analyzing historical data, surveys, reports, and as-builts to create innovative architectural design projects.
• Develop and implement design solutions that meet client needs, adhering to industry, accessibility, and building codes and standards.
• Review and assess designs, materials, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate permitting and approvals documentation, and develop front-end project specifications.
• Conduct site surveys, develop existing conditions drawings, and identify code, ADA, and Life Safety deficiencies.
• Oversee construction administration, including conducting construction meetings, responding to RFIs, and reviewing payment applications.
• Manage a small team of design staff and perform other duties as assigned.

• Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensure preferred.
• 5 or more years' experience.
• Experience with municipal clients preferred.
• Highly proficient in REVIT, AutoCad Architecture version 2022, and 3D Rendering Software.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and interactions.
