Job Summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot to join our team in Clarion, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Allegheny LifeFlight program, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients and medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all phases of flight operations, adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, servicing, and confirm aircraft airworthiness to ensure a safe and reliable flying experience.
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained aircraft, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate and Instrument Helicopter Rating (Airline Transport Pilot Rotorcraft Preferred)
  • FAA 2nd Class Medical (1st Class required at some locations)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Total Flight Time = 2,000 hours
  • Helicopter Flight Time = 1,200 hours
  • Total Pilot-in-Command Helicopter Time = 1,000 hours
  • Turbine Helicopter Time = 500 hours
  • Total X/C Time = 500 hours
  • Total Night Time = 100 hours (50 unaided)
  • Total Instrument Time = 75 hours (50 in flight)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Air Medical operations experience
  • Single Pilot IFR operations experience
  • Night Vision Goggle operations experience
Work Environment
  • Temperature controlled office/rest quarters
  • Exposure to outdoor aircraft facility with potential cold and hot temperatures
  • Exposure to running aircraft
  • Exposure to refueling systems
