We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures with radioisotope and radiation detection methods.
Key Responsibilities- Executes basic clinical competence in nuclear medicine technology, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications for patient imaging procedures.
- Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology, providing images and data analysis to physicians for diagnostic interpretation.
- Ensures safety and security in the storage and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to Joint Commission, State, Federal, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
- Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
- Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality.
- Graduation with a certificate or advanced degree in radiation therapy or nuclear medicine from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- 1+ years of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
- Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (N) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT).
- Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist - State of MD.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
