Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Internal Medicine team. As a LPN, you will provide patient-first healthcare and work alongside passionate caregivers to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients
  • Administer medication
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO
  • Follow Code Blue protocol

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • One year of clinical experience

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent walking, sitting, and standing. Frequent talking and listening when giving instructions and explanations. Frequent use of the phone; fax machines, and occasional use of the computer. Work is heavy, with constant lifting and moving patients, carrying equipment, supplies, and material up to 50 pounds without help and over 50 pounds with the help of mechanical devices or other personnel.

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time employee spends indoors in air-conditioned areas. The potential for exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens is significant. Clinical exposure to patients requires the use of personal protective equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

This position is high exposure to infectious wastes such as blood and bodily fluids that mandate the wearing of gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate.
