Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Laguna Estates Senior Living. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to our residents, working evening shifts to ensure their needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
  • Provide medication assistance to residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care and medication assistance.
  • Respond to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provide or obtain assistance with care as necessary.
  • Uphold Residents' Rights at all times and support and uphold all company policies and care philosophy.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, medication side effects, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-year of previous experience as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
  • Must complete Medication Aide training (and certification in states where required).
