Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Team to Success: Drive performance, mentor, and hold team members accountable for meeting daily goals and objectives.
  • Process and Procedure Management: Ensure that all processes and procedures are being followed, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Goal Achievement: Ensure that daily goals are met in Receiving, Picking, Shipping, Quality, and Cycle Counting.
  • USDA Inspections: Request USDA inspections when required to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Workload Management: Establish workload and assign tasks to each employee to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Container Loading: Inspect container loading to ensure that products are properly secured and loaded.
  • Carrier Management: Ensure that container numbers are accurately assigned to the correct carrier.
  • Stock Management: Review stock outs and short allocations to ensure that inventory levels are accurate.
  • Warehouse Organization: Ensure that the Receiving Staging Lanes are cleared at the end of each shift and that the warehouse is organized and clean.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Walk the warehouse to identify safety, housekeeping, and employee coaching opportunities.
  • Shift Start Up Meeting: Conduct a daily shift start up meeting to provide key information to employees and set expectations for the shift.
  • KPI Management: Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that daily quotas are met.
  • Corrective Action: Partner with Ops Manager and Division Manager to address corrective action issues.
  • Safety Protocols: Enforce safety protocols to ensure that they are being met.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain the warehouse to ensure that products are clean and organized to meet and pass certain standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or Business is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of dock supervisory experience, with experience working in a freezer required.
  • Skills: Capable of running a forklift and other warehouse equipment, WMS experience (Red Prairie is a plus), and TMS experience (Mercury Gate is a plus) is beneficial.
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of using Microsoft Office.
