Key Responsibilities- Admission and Discharge Processes: Assist with the efficient admission and discharge of patients to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Quality of Care: Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Service Recovery: Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Employee Engagement: Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Staff Management: Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Staff Scheduling: Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Inventory Control: Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Education: Registered Nurse Diploma
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Experience: 2 years of clinical practice in clinical specialty and 2 years of leadership or management experience.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support certifications required within 30 days of start date.
