About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at Edward Jones. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial and operational audits and consulting projects across all divisions of the firm.
  • Scope audits based on risk assessment, gain an understanding of processes, identify controls, and test those controls to confirm they are functioning as designed.
  • Provide status updates to leadership and communicate observations timely and effectively.
  • Create, write, and present final audit reports.
  • Mentor newly hired and staff level audit associates.
  • Delegate work, provide guidance and coaching, and review work to provide feedback when partnering with other auditors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 3+ years of public accounting and/or Internal Audit experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of audit terminology, practices, and documentation standards.
  • Experience evaluating risk to scope audit work, identifying controls, and developing effective tests for those controls.
  • Ability to analyze control design and effectiveness and evaluate findings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in banking, trust, or fiduciary industries.
  • Holding a CPA, CIA, or CFE.
  • Graduate degree in accounting or finance.
  • Understanding of GAAP and experience utilizing IDEA, ACL, or other similar tools to perform audit work.
