Compelling Locum Tenens Opportunity

A highly rewarding locum tenens position is available for a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to provide exceptional care in the Inpatient setting of an Acute Rehab facility. This exciting opportunity offers a lucrative salary, flexible schedule, and a dynamic team environment.

About the Job

This is an immediate opening with ongoing coverage required. The ideal candidate will have experience in Inpatient settings and be comfortable with a census split between locums and another PMR physician. The shift will be Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage and PRN call backs. Typical working hours are 8-5 or other variations such as 9-6 or 10-7, with case conferences held after lunch hours. The provider will also be responsible for participating in team conferences on weekends.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing a caseload of approximately 40-50 patients, split between locums and the second PMR.
  • Performing H&P, Plan of Care, DC summaries, and leading team conferences with experienced professionals.
  • Collaborating with the IM MD and AVP IM to ensure effective patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
  • Degree in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Eligible for board certification.
  • Experience in Inpatient settings, preferably in IRF facilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
