About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at TMS International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure effective and efficient maintenance operations
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance technicians
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure effective use of company assets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of maintenance materials and services
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of maintenance experience, with 5 years of management experience preferred
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a mechanical or electrical degree preferred
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with 480-volt 3-phase systems, 120vac and 24 vdc controls
  • Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic knowledge and experience
  • Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Able to troubleshoot hydraulic systems
  • Highly skilled mechanical aptitude
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Team building skills are a must
