Job Title: Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Progress Speech & Language. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Speech Language Pathologists to provide high-quality services to children and their families.

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant will assist Speech Language Pathologists in conducting speech and language screenings, documenting patient progress, and preparing therapy materials. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct speech and language screenings and document patient progress
  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in preparing therapy materials and equipment
  • Program and troubleshoot Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Adapt or modify instructional materials and equipment as determined by student needs and abilities
  • Maintain student records, tally data, and prepare charts, records, graphs, and reports
  • Observe and report significant behavioral patterns or other problems to Speech Language Pathologists
Requirements:
  • California SLPA License
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications
  • Professionally skilled in verbal and written communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Vietnamese, Korean, or Spanish
  • Meticulously organized in approach to medical record reviews
  • Detail oriented
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Highly dependable with excellent follow-through skills
  • Team player
