Job Summary:

The Oncology Nursing Fellow will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in educational and clinical training programs, and contributing to the development of oncology nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Participate in educational programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in oncology nursing.
  • Contribute to the development of oncology nursing practice through research, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Authorization for limited prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
