Hull Assembly Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hull Assembly Specialist to join our team at Alumacraft Boat Co. This role involves assembling aluminum parts and delivering high-quality products on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, work orders, and safety data sheets.
• Position and secure workpieces using overhead hoists, mechanical devices, or manual manipulation.
• Secure material together using rivets, pneumatic hammers, bucking bars, pop rivets, drills, and screws.
• Check all parts for quality, including aesthetically pleasing rivet finishes and passing leak tests.
• Test boats by placing them in a test tank with an overhead hoist and utilizing a pneumatic press to apply pressure.
• Mark or tag material with proper identifiers.
• Participate in daily morning meetings, including stretching activities, assist with incident investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality improvements.
• Assist in training other employees on equipment and department procedures, engage in effective conversations with team members and leaders, escalate and discuss issues or potential issues to leads and supervisors.

Requirements:

• Assembly skills and abilities necessary to assemble aluminum parts and deliver quality parts on time.
• Operation of hand tools, pneumatic drills, and hammers, bucking bars, jigs, and fixtures.
• Safety qualifications necessary to ensure safe operation of equipment at all times.
