The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager is a critical role at Thermoid, responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive EHS system. This individual will drive a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring the well-being of all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain EHS strategic plans aligned with business objectives
- Evaluate and recommend controls and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and reduce exposure liability
- Lead EHS training programs to educate and develop manufacturing teams
- Provide timely reporting to leadership on safety metrics and collaborate with relevant teams to address safety concerns
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct regular site audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Review equipment design changes to ensure OSHA compliance
- Develop communication and awareness of safety policies and systems to increase employee safety skills
- Perform testing, inspections, and maintain accurate data for EPA reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or Business
- 5 years' experience in EHS, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience developing and maintaining safety programs
- Ability to provide EHS leadership and coaching to managers and employees
- Experience measuring EHS performance with a focus on leading indicators, risk assessment, and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and government EHS regulations
