Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $24.93 to $30.54, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Overview

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages. Your role will involve performing routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures, including the administration of medications and the management of ventilators for patients requiring short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.

You will maintain accurate records and enter information into the hospital's computer system. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the absence of a full-time Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory therapy procedures to patients across the lifespan, including routine and complex treatments.
  • Set up and operate acute care ventilators for continuous mechanical ventilation, both short- and long-term.
  • Maintain accurate department and hospital records, ensuring timely data entry for all therapies provided.
  • Self-direct in the absence of a full-time Team Leader and provide high-quality patient care consistently.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate's Degree required).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Florida state licensure preferred, or willingness to obtain FL licensure.
