Position Summary

The Marine Project Coordinator is tasked with overseeing all facets of dredging operations, ensuring the delivery of technical and operational support. This role encompasses involvement in proposal development, resource allocation, scheduling, and the comprehensive management of project requirements through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

This pivotal management role involves the oversight and direction of dredging and construction initiatives.

This position operates under the guidance of the Operations Manager.

  • Pre-Project Activities

a. Conduct site assessments

  • Project Preparation

a. Analyze and comprehend Plans/Specifications

b. Review insights gained from prior projects or similar undertakings

c. Scrutinize and understand Contractual Documents

d. Collaborate with dredge supervisors to establish and agree on execution strategies

e. Formulate project plans (including work plans, budgets, dredging strategies, and timelines)

f. Engage with clients to understand their objectives, challenges, and project risks

g. Establish project goals (define project KPIs)

  • Project Execution (including mobilization, setup, operational phase, teardown, and demobilization)
  • Safety Management and fostering a safety-oriented culture
  • Management of project personnel and staffing requirements as dictated by the project
  • Reporting

a. Internal reporting (daily logs, production tracking, timekeeping, HR matters, financial updates, safety records, etc.)

b. Client-facing reports (daily updates, invoicing, project schedules, etc.)

c. Conduct internal weekly meetings with site supervisors

  • Production & Survey Oversight

a. Gather and analyze production data

b. Focus on optimization and efficiency improvements

c. Conduct BD & AD surveys, along with regular verification of dredging profile deliverables

  • Financial Oversight

a. Manage financial reporting, cost control (including fuel, labor, project supplies, etc.), invoicing, and collections
