Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified English Faculty member to join our team. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for teaching English courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach English courses at a variety of times and locations, develop and use a syllabus within college and departmental guidelines, and plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Student Assessment and Support: Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and support students in achieving course objectives.
  • Professional Development and Service: Participate in professional development opportunities, contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives, and engage in institutional service.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in English, literature, creative writing, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in English, literature, creative writing, or rhetoric composition studies.
  • Skills and Abilities: Mastery of course content, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints, and commitment to academic excellence.
