The Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. This position combines vigilance with compassionate service, ensuring that every interaction reflects a positive attitude.

In this role, you will uphold security protocols while demonstrating understanding and respect for individuals within the healthcare setting. Your commitment to safety and customer service is vital in protecting the people, property, and quality of our health system.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to complete de-escalation training within 90 days of hire

Preferred:
  • One year of experience in customer service, security, or military service
  • Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols and monitor facilities to ensure a secure environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while identifying and addressing potential security threats.
  • Manage access control systems and perform administrative tasks using Microsoft Office.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse population through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Perform weapon screenings and enforce facility policies to maintain safety standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in crisis de-escalation using certified techniques.
