Department: Women's Health

Position Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography is tasked with executing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including Mammography, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Bone Densitometry. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the methodologies, protocols, and apparatus utilized in capturing high-quality radiographic images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic mammography and related imaging procedures.
  • Maintain proficiency in the operation of imaging equipment and software.
  • Provide assistance to patients during their imaging experience, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and imaging directors to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT Certification required.
  • Valid Florida Radiology License.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in mammography as per MQSA standards.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight post-training.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
