Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography is tasked with executing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including Mammography, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Bone Densitometry. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the methodologies, protocols, and apparatus utilized in capturing high-quality radiographic images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic mammography and related imaging procedures.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation of imaging equipment and software.
- Provide assistance to patients during their imaging experience, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with supervisors and imaging directors to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- ARRT Certification required.
- Valid Florida Radiology License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in mammography as per MQSA standards.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight post-training.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
