Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing custodial cleaning services to campus buildings, classrooms, and work areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of these areas, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide custodial cleaning services to campus buildings, classrooms, and work areas
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of these areas
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Restock paper and soap supplies in restrooms
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined
  • Knowledge of custodial practices, machinery, and related equipment
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and operate vacuums and other related equipment
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Special requirements of the position include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions and Physical Effort

This position involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The physical effort required is moderate, with lifting requirements up to 25 pounds and standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
