About Us:

UMass Chan Medical School is a leading institution in the field of medicine, and we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team. Our goal is to deliver cutting-edge cloud solutions that meet the needs of our patients, faculty, and staff.

Overview:

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing redundant and resilient cloud native and hybrid cloud solutions with a focus on large-scale enterprise-wide solutions for the University. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud services, infrastructure, and security.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud and hybrid cloud solutions in alignment with the Medical School's strategic and tactical business plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and contribute to cloud standards development.
  • Automate infrastructure management and maintenance with a focus on cloud-based solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Manage cloud user and group access to cloud services and systems using Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Optimize all aspects of cloud solutions, including performance, resiliency, and availability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of IT technology experience with at least 3+ years designing, implementing cloud solutions, and providing operational support for cloud services.
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS in multi-region, multi-account environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud network engineering concepts and cloud security principles.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
Estimated Salary Range:

$115,000 - $155,000 per year, based on location and experience.
