Position Summary
The Senior Quality Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our manufacturing processes at Valve Research & Manufacturing Company. This position involves leading investigations into product failures, determining root causes, and implementing effective corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee failure analysis, identify root causes, and execute corrective actions.
- Serve as the Lead Internal Auditor, carrying out the audit strategy, training team members, and conveying audit findings as needed.
- Propose and apply improvements to the quality management system that enhance quality outcomes and reduce costs.
- Conduct stability and capability assessments of current processes, analyze results, and suggest modifications.
- Engage in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives and prepare/submit PPAP documentation to clients.
- Utilize appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Directly liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Skilled in technical report writing (e.g., FRACAS, Investigations, Corrective Actions).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for addressing technical and quality matters.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of mechanical processes.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.
- Green Belt certification or familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Information
The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates with a background in aerospace or aviation will be given preference.
