Job Summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our athletic training rooms, developing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and providing medical coverage for games and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of athletic training rooms, including equipment upkeep and inventory management
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for athletes, including evaluation and documentation of injuries
  • Provide medical coverage for games and practices, including referrals to physicians as needed
  • Coordinate physician visits and manage expendable supplies
  • Develop and implement athletic training room policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with state and national OSHA regulations, HIPAA policy, and other privacy act policies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Nationally certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers
  • Licensed in West Virginia through the WV Board of Physical Therapy
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of position-related experience, with 2-5 years preferred
Qualifications

Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers and WV Athletic Trainer License Eligible through the WV Board of Physical Therapy. Experience with collegiate and high school athletes is preferred.
