Position Summary
We are currently seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Helicopter Pilot (IFR/PIC)(EC145) to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight operations, ensuring the utmost safety and professionalism while representing Metro Aviation in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the final authority for the operation of the assigned aircraft at all times.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Adhere to the established work and training schedule, including the potential for extra duty shifts as needed.
  • Participate in company and client meetings as required.
  • Comply with all operational guidelines, including the General Operations Manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational integrity of the assigned aircraft.

Qualifications
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate and Instrument Helicopter Rating (Airline Transport Pilot Rotorcraft preferred).
  • FAA 2nd Class Medical (1st Class may be required at certain locations).
  • Minimum flight experience: 2,000 total hours, including 1,200 hours in helicopters and 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Experience in air medical operations and single pilot IFR operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements
Candidates must be capable of performing tasks that require prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. The role may involve exposure to varying temperatures and operational environments.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a 7 on / 7 off schedule, including 12-hour shifts. Travel for annual training may be required.
