Donation Attendant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Donation Attendant to join our team at Dcgoodwill. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to donors and customers, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles, handling items with care and attention to detail.
• Complete donor receipts and offer a copy to the donor, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
• Sort donated items into designated categories, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
• Follow good safety and security practices, reporting any hazards or incidents to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.

**Requirements:**

• A minimum of six months of previous work experience, preferably in a retail or customer-facing role.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions, with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and climbing for prolonged periods, up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and up to 50 pounds frequently, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on customer service and communication skills.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment, with a focus on pallet packing and forklift operation.
• Basic computer skills, with a focus on data entry and processing.
• Multilingual with fluency in English, with a focus on serving a diverse customer base.
