Position Overview:
Epic Travel Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated travel nurse RN specializing in the ICU - Intensive Care Unit for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Job Specifications:
  • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:
  • Valid Michigan RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
  • Experience in both ICU and ER settings
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Key Competencies:
We are looking for candidates with strong critical thinking abilities, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the capacity to prioritize effectively. The role will involve:
  • General nursing responsibilities
  • Caring for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and Diabetic Ketoacidosis
  • Monitoring surgical patients requiring close observation
  • Floating to ICU as needed

Charting Experience:
Familiarity with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis for medication management is preferred.

Unit Information:
The unit consists of a 25-bed capacity with a patient ratio of 1:4-1:5 during the day and an average of 1:6 at night.

Scrub Colors:
Any colored scrubs are acceptable.
