Job Summary:
The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Pain Management Physician to join our team at the Memphis VA Medical Center. As a Level II Non-invasive Pain Management Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to our nation's veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Professional Medical Care: The selected physician will be accountable for the professional delivery and thorough documentation of treatment to our patients.
- Lead a Team: The physician will uphold a climate within the Pain Clinic that promotes optimum patient care, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for our patients and staff.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: The physician will report to the Chief, Anesthesiology Section or his designee and serve as a key clinical resource for the Anesthesiology Section and Surgical Service.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, observing patient responses, testing procedures, and reviewing patient records.
- Monitor Outcomes: Consistently monitor and report on outcomes in pain management, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
- Education and Training: Provide education to other physicians and healthcare professionals regarding pain management, as well as education, supervision, and mentoring to medical students, residents, and fellows in pain management.
- Research and Development: Facilitate research development in pain management, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pain Management: The selected physician must be board eligible or certified in pain management.
- Experience/Training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: Experience or training in physical medicine and rehabilitation is preferred.
- License and Citizenship: The physician must hold a full and unrestricted license from any state and be a U.S. citizen or non-citizen who is eligible for employment with the federal government.
- Language Proficiency: The physician must be proficient in the written and spoken use of the English language.
