Position Summary

As a Crew Member, you will represent Farmer Boys' brand image as the first point of contact with our guests. You will provide exceptional service before, during, and after taking orders. In this role, you may take orders, manage registers, maintain the dining area, operate the drive-thru, prepare our fresh-to-order meals, or assist in prepping our fresh ingredients. While experience is appreciated, it is not a requirement. We are eager to teach those who are willing to learn. Comprehensive hands-on training and online courses will be provided to equip you for success.

Job Responsibilities

As a Crew Member, you will have the opportunity to learn various roles, from being a Cashier where you will greet each guest with a smile and provide friendly service, to managing the drive-thru station and collaborating with a team to deliver prompt service. You may also have the chance to operate the grills and prepare our meals fresh or learn how to prepare our delicious zucchini and hand-chop our lettuce.


Position Details

  • Work Hours: Both Full-Time and Part-Time hours are available.
  • Career Advancement: We promote heavily from within, allowing you to progress from a Crew Member to roles such as Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and beyond.
  • Work Attire: An FB logo'd shirt will be provided; black pants or jeans and non-slip shoes are required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary; however, one or more years in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
  • Education: No formal education is required, though a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
  • Communication: Proficiency in speaking and reading English is preferred (a second language is a plus). Effective communication with external customers is essential.
  • Skills: Kitchen and customer service skills, time management, and familiarity with Point-Of-Sales (POS) systems are preferred.
  • Food Handler Card: A Food Handler Card is required where applicable.
  • Physical Demands: A Crew Member regularly stands, talks, hears, uses close and distant vision, tastes, or smells, and repetitively uses their hands to reach, handle, feel, and grasp objects. The position may occasionally require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting objects up to 40 lbs.
