Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Administrator to join our team at Teledyne. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for administering our global SAP landscape, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data, and maintaining security and integrity controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain SAP instances, databases, and logs to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Create and maintain metrics and inventory related to SAP, including tracking system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Review and act on conditions found in SAP Early Watch reports to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform system health checks and implement corrective actions to maintain system stability.
  • Configure and maintain RFCs and other interconnectivity in the SAP landscape, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
  • Perform SAP security functions, including user and role management, to ensure secure access to sensitive data.
  • Support an on-call rotation, providing 24x7 responsiveness to outages and issues.
  • Collaborate with users and IT staff to determine the feasibility and definition of application requirements, and direct the development, testing, and implementation of new programs and sub-systems.
  • Evaluate data structure and design alternatives to support system solutions, maintaining data dictionaries, structures, and metadata.
  • Establish and maintain system and data security policies in client-server or mainframe environments.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration for S/4 HANA and SAP ECC.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Java.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Documentation creation and document management skills.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Ability to work on self-initiated tasks without appreciable direction.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support high availability systems.
  • SAP BTP cloud service technology solutions experience.
  • Database administration experience (MS-SQL, HANA).
  • Active Directory integration/interfacing experience (SAML, LDAP).
  • Application development experience.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Ability to represent the organization as a prime technical contact on projects.
  • Ability to successfully embrace and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
