Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing company as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial activities including month-end close, financial analysis, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, audits, and adjusting journal entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Conduct financial analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data to ensure accuracy and provide actionable insights for decision making.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, providing necessary financial data, and implementing suggested changes.
  • Prepare and adjust journal entries, ensuring accurate representation of the company's financial position.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and assist with strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and keep up-to-date with new financial laws.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in month-end close, financial analysis, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, audits, and adjusting journal entries.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
