Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Research Scientist II to contribute to our innovative projects in a dynamic research environment.

Essential Skills
  • Expertise in generating and analyzing qPCR and RT-PCR datasets
  • Familiarity with capillary electrophoresis (preferably using Sciex PA800 Plus), Agarose gel electrophoresis, and/or TapeStation analysis
  • Proficiency in ELISA methodologies
  • Experience in handling, storing, and analyzing purified nucleic acids
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct and troubleshoot analytical assays for mRNA characterization
  • Assist in the design and evaluation of new analytical development assays
  • Contribute to the establishment of SOPs and protocols for analytical processes
  • Manage samples and data pertinent to mRNA platform development
  • Optimize workflows for assessing mRNA attributes and impurities
  • Provide experimental design and execution support to team members in related functions
  • Engage in lab maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation
  • Summarize and present findings in team meetings
  • Author technical reports and study documentation
QualificationsBasic Requirements
  • STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Self-motivated with strong teamwork capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to utilize literature and resources to solve problems and innovate
  • Growth mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in biological or chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Experience with IP-RP-UPLC method development
  • Familiarity with JMP for design of experiments
  • Background in in vitro transcription of mRNA
  • Experience collaborating with vendors
  • Proficiency in managing and interpreting large datasets
  • Experience with mammalian cell-based assays including flow cytometry
Additional Requirements

Candidate must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment that handles hazardous materials.
