Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist

- Granville Health System is a rural healthcare facility with a capacity of 62 beds, serving the community in Oxford, NC.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist position entails the autonomous assessment and management of patients within the designated scope of practice, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care for illnesses and injuries, as well as promoting health through disease prevention, accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and support for recovery. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct care to adult inpatients and outpatients.
- Conducting thorough consultations in the field of internal medicine.
- Adhering to established institutional protocols for patient safety and quality assurance.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and peer evaluations.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to remain current with advancements in the healthcare sector.
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrating proficiency in CPT/ICD-10 coding and maintaining clinical expertise.
Qualifications for Nurse Practitioners:
- Master's degree in a relevant specialty area.
- Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
- Authorization for advanced practice in the state.
- Understanding of various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Qualifications for Physician Assistants:
- Master's degree in a relevant specialty area.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as a PA-C.
- Authorization for advanced practice in the state.
