Position Overview

This position is integral to the Ultrasonic, Infrared, and Eddy Current Inspection Team within the GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation sector. The team is tasked with the innovation, validation, and implementation of advanced nondestructive testing (NDT) methodologies for both metallic and composite components used in aircraft engines.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties
  • Utilize fundamental principles to create state-of-the-art nondestructive testing methods.
  • Facilitate the transition of new inspection techniques to external suppliers.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and guidance to various inspection facilities.
  • Engage in lean initiatives and cost-saving measures.
  • Establish specifications to enable the introduction of new technologies and address root cause corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design, materials, and inspection teams to fulfill business objectives.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering or technology experience.
Preferred Attributes
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Materials, Biomedical, Mechanical, Systems, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience in developing inspection techniques using fundamental principles.
