Davit Technician

Job Summary:

As a Davit Technician at Fairbanks Morse Defense, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and servicing of hydraulic davit systems in the field. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the rapid and effective support of the fleets that entrust us with the design, development, and delivery of the best naval power technology on the planet.

Main Responsibilities:

Installation, testing, and servicing of hydraulic davit systems in the field

•

Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the rapid and effective support of the fleets

•

Perform work related tasks in strict accordance with company product tech manuals

•

Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining internal service records and manuals

•

Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines

•

Maintain company property according to company policies

•

Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and applicable regulatory requirements

•

Complete annual safety training requirements as outlined on regional safety schedule

Requirements:

•

High School Diploma or GED required

•

Associate degree in a technical discipline and four years military experience or relevant industry experience

•

Reliable team player who consistently exhibits a professional demeanor

•

Knowledge of test equipment and theory

•

Knowledge of hydraulic equipment

•

Ability to read, understand, and interpret diagrams, drawings, and blueprints

•

Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics

•

Strong organizational and time management skills

•

Attention to detail

•

Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

•

Strong customer service attitude

•

Strong mechanical aptitude
