Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Tarrytown Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify residents' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to residents, including modalities, exercises, and activities to promote independence and mobility.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Supervise and train Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure high-quality care.
  • Document resident progress and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in facility meetings and committees to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered NYS license as a Registered Professional Occupational Therapist.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy or international equivalent.
  • Geriatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external resources.
  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to function effectively in stressful and changing situations.
