Adventist Health System/West is in search of a dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to enhance our cardiology services in a community with significant healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with an experienced non-interventional cardiologist and a skilled nurse practitioner.
- Utilize a brand new, state-of-the-art catheterization lab and interventional cardiology program.
- Play a vital role in the development and expansion of the interventional cardiology services.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and manage intra-arterial line insertions.
Conduct percutaneous coronary interventions, cardiac catheterizations, and angiographies.
Execute pericardiocentesis procedures.
Interpret echocardiograms and stress tests.
Place and manage temporary transvenous pacemakers.
Obtain fluoroscopy privileges and certification.
Insert and manage central venous lines.
Interpret EKGs and holter monitors.
Utilize debulking devices such as CSI atherectomy, rotablator, and laser Angiojet for cardiovascular interventions.
Manage intra-aortic balloon pumps and perform peripheral arterial interventions.
Conduct arterial punctures.
Qualifications:
Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Must be fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
At least Level 2 training in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography is required, with vascular ultrasonography training preferred.
Level 3 training in cardiac catheterization and intervention is essential; peripheral interventional training is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional training in cardiac MRI/CT is advantageous.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible, possess a California medical license or be eligible for one, and meet the credentialing standards of the hospital's medical staff.
Compensation:
Wage Scale: $540,000 - $794,248 annually.
