Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to oversee the activities and personnel of the Manufacturing Engineering department. The ideal candidate will coordinate the support for new launch development and day-to-day technical issues for the assembly process, focusing on scrap and downtime reduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Guidance
    • Assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
    • Provide leadership and guidance within the department for new product launch teams.
  • Process Optimization
    • Coordinate the timely input of BOM/routings and ensure production rates and machine cycle times are available for all new products.
    • Assist in planning for adequate floor space for assembly line location, storage, and work-in-process (WIP).
  • Department Management
    • Assist in the management of the department, including annual departmental goals, headcount, and budgets.
    • Evaluate departmental training needs and schedule employees for training.

Requirements

Your Background

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a technical discipline, plus 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including:

  • 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or management position.

Experience in an engineering function with an automotive lighting manufacturer is preferred.
