Job Overview

HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our second shift team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, lean principles, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of CNC operators and set-up operators to meet production goals and objectives.
  • Conduct daily security, quality, and EHS audits to ensure compliance with company and customer policies.
  • Cross-train staff on best practices to improve set-up and production run-times.
  • Optimize processes through the elimination of waste and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Routine performance evaluations, corrective actions, and disciplinary actions if needed.
Requirements and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years' progressive career in precision machined component manufacturing in a regulated industry like aerospace or medical.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/AS quality standards, OSHA/EHS safety regulations, and commitment to adherence to company policies.
  • Advanced machining skills in one or more disciplines such as Swiss lathe, multi-axis turning, turning, milling, or grinding.
  • Experience leading and managing small teams towards common goals.
